For my Aunt...
Who makes the best potatoes ever! She made them for Easter and OH-M-GEE! They are soooooo yummmmy!
Backstory: every year we would go up to her house for Christmas Day dinner. And one year she started making these heavenly (probably horrible for you) potatoes. I fell in love, so every Christmas it was basically expected that they would be there. I mean this is a once a year treat so it definetly gives you something to look forward to. Well as the years went on and as we all got older, the potoates werent expected to be at dinner. Which I am sure my waistline was happy about.
So this year, I was informed she would be making them for Easter dinner and I made sure we made the trip to her house!
When hubbs finally tried one, since I hyped these suckers up for years, his response was, "These are deadly." Yes they truly are!

Shame on me!
For not keeping you up to date with my life! But I have had literally zero time to write on here since whenever my last post was.
Work has been busy busy busy which I love. I actually went to a local high school and gave a career day presentation yesterday, and the day before that I worked out of a different location. I love it, I love not having a routine at work, it keeps it fun and I learn more each day!
Hubbs and I are also getting ready to leave for Florida on Wednesday! WHOO HOO! My brother, sis in law, and two adoreable newphews reside in Jacksonville so every year we visit them. We always have a great time and its nice to be able to get away like this every year.
So I am trying to tie up any loose ends at work and also at home so that way we dont come back the following week to a disaster. I hate feeling overwhemled when I get back from vacation!!!
In other news....it's April which means bring on the birthdays! This Sunday is my besties sons 5th birthday party, so we will be there. Always a good time! Monday is his bday, my dads, one of hubbs brothers bdays, and my friend G's bday. Phew. So it's a busy day!!!
I know I totally missed the shameless plug on Monday so I am not even going to try to make up for it right now. So this may be the last time I write until we return from vacay, but you can expect a ridiciously long post for that one!

Oh what a day today! It's quiet, slow, and if this rain doesnt let up someone better start constructing an arc.

Rain, rain go away....
I am so sick of the rain. Not to mention, this day is dragging. Ready to leave and get comfy!
Hubbs is off to Mass for the night. He's heading up with his boss and co-workers for a seminar. I already miss him and he's still in CT. I'm so lame. And such a baby because I am staying at my dad's tonight. Whatever, I get to spend some time with mi padre and also see my kitties (dad has held them hostage since I moved out). The only negative is that my bedroom has turned into a storage room so I will camp out on the couch. Maybe someday I will get over nervousness to stay home alone!
The weekend was good, we didn't do too much. Friday night we stayed in and watched The Goods, that movie with Jeremy Piven. Not horrible but I wouldn't recommend going out and renting it. Saturday I spent the day with my favorite aunt/godmother which was so much fun! And Sunday we dropped some things off to our accountant, saw the in laws and did some grocery shopping.
I am getting extremely excited for our Florida trip April 14Th! I love love love going down there and visiting with my brother, sis in law, and nephews. We always have such a great time! I really wanted to get a few things for the trip but didn't want to spend a ton. So I saw that Old Navy had really cute things! I'm not a huge fan of ON, but I was really impressed. I ended up getting 40% off some items, plus 20% off for spending over $100 and free shipping for using my ON Card. I bought 12 items and spent $188.00!!! I was so excited! I can't wait to get my package in the mail!
My shameless plug for today since I am tired is the snuggie! I thought it was the dumbest thing but my dad being the jokester that he is bought me one for Christmas. OMG I cannot live without it. I am always cold especially when I go to bed, so I literally wrap myself in the snuggie first, then the sheet, then the comforter. It's not too hot to the point where I wake up sweating but it keeps me so warm and cozy and it's just awesome!
Tomorrow I hope to have more energy so I can write about our house projects, but we will see!

I'm a Lucky Gal
If someone told us seven years ago that we would be this happy, this much in love, this solid, I think we would both laugh hysterically. Not saying we werent happy, and in "love" when we first were together, BUT we were so young, (21, 19 respectively) and still so immature. You're just enjoying being in a relationship, hanging out with friends, partying...really have no care in the world.
Eventually I will share our story because it's a good one.
Why am I a lucky gal? Because my husband adores me. Loves me unconditially. He tells me he loves me at least ten times a day, and makes me feel like I am the most beautiful woman in the world. He supports my decisions and it there to listen when I'm having a bad day. He is always honest with me, even if I dont want to hear the truth. Yes, a marriage should be based on these things and more and maybe I'm being an AW but I am allowed to. I'm very lucky to call this amazing man my husband.
Yesterday was our eight month wedding anniversary. Hubbs was home before me so I came in talking about something walked into the dining room and found these:
Of course I went all girly with the awww's and babe's, and kisses and hugs. Overall it made my so-so day a 100% better!
Bottom line; I have an awesomely amazing husband who I fall in love with more and more everyday.
