Whoa. Hello blog, good to see you again.
Life has been anything but normal the past few months. Much to blog about very little time. Where do I begin???
The New Job: I have to admit, I was pretty intimated my first week there. It was like learning everything all over again.....and then some. But I really am paranoid by nature and always nervous I won't complete the task at hand. Turns out, after a month of training with the woman I replace (who has become such a dear friend!) I was good to go. I love that I get to actually use my brain everyday and need to solve issues rather then have the same things thrown at me everyday. I'm learning all the aspects of HR...not just the recruiting like I was in previous position. And its great to be valued and not treated like a kid.
Our FIRST Wedding Anniversary: I still can't believe it's been over a year. Our anniversary was on 7/25 so we headed up to Hubb's aunt & uncles beach house in Narragnsent RI for the weekend. This house is gorgeous, totally redone! We spent Friday and Saturday there. Friday we got in late, but enjoyed some tv and wine. Saturday we went to Crazy Burger for breakfast...funny right?? But wow the food was excellent! The biggest and fluffiest omlet I've ever seen! We headed back to the house and hung out at the beach for the remainder of the day. For dinner, we headed to Trio which was fabulous! Sunday was our actual anniversary so we left RI around 10am and made a quick stop at the outlets so I could purchase a new Coach bag =). For dinner, we headed to this awesome steak house in our town, both of us ordered Filet Mignon...mmmmmmm. After dinner, we headed home, and took out the recreated wedding cake! Lit the wedding candle and dug in! Hubbs and I just exchanged cards this year but we also had homework to do. Hubbs had to get me flowers (which he did!) and we had to write love letters to each other, but we cannot open them until our second anniversary. Overall we had an amazing first anniversary.
Tragedy: My life is never not chaotic. Oh the stories I could tell you about the things that I have been through..I choose not to because those things do not define me and they've only made me a stronger person. But on August 11th, my stepfather passed away. It was somewhat sudden. My stepfather and I weren't extremely close, lots of issues there but he was only 57 years old which is still so young. My mom of course was a mess, and still is although she doesnt show it. Another reason I love where I work...I was out from the time he went into the hospital until after the services so a little over a week and they didnt bat an eye. They were so supportive and it was nice to have that. The weeks after his passing were stressful on me because of my mom, but everyday she is doing a little better. I couldnt imagine losing my husband. I can't imagine what she is going through.
My 27th Birthday: is next SATURDAY! Ahhh another year older! We are heading up to a Vineyard for the big day and I can't wait to see all of my girls!!!I just wanted to something laid back..birthday's as you get older seem to lose their luster. I probably would have been fine doing nothing but I figure once we have kids then birthday celebrations officially stop =).
Our Babymoon Vacation: The summer has been a semi stressful time for us we definetly were looking for a break. We went to Florida in April which is always nice, but it's a fmaily trip. We wanted to go away for some "Us" time. We thought about another cruise but opted not to. Instead we are off to Jamaica, Sandals Royal Carribean for six glorious nights in October! OMG cannot wait! Why would this be babymoon? It's the week (knock on wood) that I will O'ving and the month we are picking up on trying for Baby M.
Operation Slim Down: I've lost 10 lbs and hoping to lose another 10 before this vacation. I let myself go after the wedding and the past couple months have been disgusted when stepping on the scale. I needed something to motivate me so here it is! Jamaica!
Babymakin': Like I mentioned way back in June, babymaking was hold for a few months until I get settled in the new job. Well the two of us are beyond antsy and truly hope we leave Jamaica with more then a sweet tan! My cycle is totally back to normal so I think anything to do with the Pill has completely left my body. It better, its been nine months since I've gone off it!
I think that makes me pretty much up to date with the major things going on in my life. I shall leave you with some pictures of all the fun things that happened this summer! It was a great one!!!!!!
